Laura Kirk is the author of the 8-week Bible study, Understanding the Holy Spirit. She’s made it her mission to help others know God’s voice and discover His heart through the Word of God. She's passionate about pursuing intimacy and helping readers do the same in their relationship with God, with their spouse, and with those around them.

Laura’s unique voice in Understanding the Holy Spirit was borne out of her own need to understand Him herself, having received no church teaching about Him. Laura recounts regularly hearing God’s voice at a young age but never quite knowing what He wanted from her. Now she knows: relationship. She’s made it her mission to help others know God’s voice and discover His heart through the Word of God.

Laura is a Registered Nurse with a BSN degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, where she also fell in love with theology in Bible and Theology classes. Men and women alike have joined the multiple Bible study classes she’s taught. Her vulnerability, compassion, and bold personality draw others in. Reading and studying the Scriptures have been her joy for the last 20 years.

In 2014, Laura married her (luckily handsome) blind date, Robbie Kirk. They have two awesome children, Sarah (4) and Samuel (3). She and her husband Robbie share a deep passion for marriage and enjoy counseling other couples.
